Des Moines
The Des Moines Area Committee meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. In addition to granting wishes, the group participates in a number of events each year including Jolly Holiday Lights, the Des Moines Dinner & Auction, the Central Iowa Golf Tournament, Des Moines Art Festival.

The day starts with the PlayStation2 Football game tournament at Principal Park/Iowa Cubs Club House. At 12 noon the Wish Kids "Just for Fun" Division starts. 3:00 is the meet and greet with a few of the players.
From 4:00 - 6:00 a picnic and kids activites for Wish Families and Volunteers will be held across the street. We will then finish the day with Make-A-Wish night at the ballpark.

Tour DeLights - on Sunday, November 23, 2008, "Preview Night" of Jolly Holiday Lights.
Walk, Run, or Bike through the Jolly Holiday displays with your family, pet, and friends. Contests for best decorated/lit bike, best pet costume, best costume, and many more will be held.
