JOLLY HOLIDAY LIGHTS 2007 IS OVER. Thanks to your support, dozens of wishes will be granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions. We wish to thank our incredible volunteer force for persevering through wind, rain, snow, and cold to make these dreams come true. EVENT DETAILS--- Jolly Holiday Lights is a Des Moines tradition like no other. With 3.3 miles of wonderfully lit splendor, the event has become a magical centerpiece to many, a night of holiday light viewing.

Sponsorship
There's a sponsorship level for you! Corporate sponsorships from our $850 Star Sponsor to our $25,000 Program Sponsor are now available! All sponsors will receive their name in 30,000 programs and a banner at the park. Light display sponsors also receive their logo in the program and a light display of their choice in the park.

Individuals and families are also able to contribute to the event by purchasing a star sponsorship for $250.00. We will list your name in the program, as well as on a banner at the park.

Volunteering
Jolly Holiday Lights requires a volunteer force of at least 1,000! If you are over the age of eighteen, you can help out with this great community event!

Have your group sponsor a volunteer shift or night at Jolly Holiday Lights! Your company, church, small group, family or association can sign up together to cover one of our many shifts. To sponsor a volunteer shift, at least 8-12 volunteers are needed and to sponsor a volunteer night, at least 24-30 volunteers are needed.

Beginnings
Jolly Holiday Lights began in 1995 as a way to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa during the holiday season. The event, which offered a number of holiday light displays, was a hit in Des Moines in its first year.

Since then, the event has grown each year and become a holiday tradition in central Iowa. Now the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa's largest fundraising event, the light park features more than seventy spectacular light displays on a 2.5-mile route that winds through Des Moines' Water Works Park. In its twelfth year, the event has raised more than $2 million and granted the wishes of more than 330 Iowa children.
